The Research, Consulting, and Training Center at the University of Sabratha organized a workshop titled "Towards Sustainable Community Economic Development," followed by honoring the pioneering women working in various educational fields in the Sabratha municipality. 
The workshop, held in the auditorium of the College of Engineering in Sabratha, was supervised by Dr. Ruqayya Al-Zawagi and Dr. Fathiya Jabir. It witnessed the participation of several faculty members from the University of Sabratha and the University of Tripoli, who presented scientific papers on several topics, including:
- "Defining Sustainable Economic Development and Its Role in Reviving the Libyan Community," presented by Dr. Ruqayya Al-Zawagi.
- "The Pioneering Role and Its Impact on Community Revival and Linking the Libyan Economy to the International Economy," presented by Dr. Radhia Al-Rajbani.
- "The Role of Businesswomen in Economic Development Projects," presented by Dr. Amira Ashour.
- "Utilizing Local Raw Materials in Handicraft Production," presented by Ms. Suhair Al-Kashik.
- "The Role of Academic Women in Achieving Sustainable Development," presented by Dr. Sihem Sasi.
The workshop and accompanying program were attended by the Mayor of Sabratha and several officials from the education sector, along with a group of stakeholders and interested parties. At the conclusion of the general program, a large number of pioneering women working in various scientific fields were honored, and awards and participation certificates were presented to the participants and some targeted attendees for recognition.
