As part of activating the joint cooperation agreement between the University of Sabratha and the University of Gabes in Tunisia, and under the slogan "Creativity is Our Path to Excellence," the events of the sixth academic forum for visual arts commenced today, Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Youth House in Sabratha, running from December 8 to 11. 

After the welcoming ceremony for the participants and an introductory session held in the main hall at the accommodation venue, the speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Thuraya Rashid, welcomed the attendees and officially announced the start of the forum's activities, which will continue for four consecutive days with broad participation from specialized academics and local and international visual artists from Tunisia and Algeria.

The first day's activities included a workshop on visual arts with the participation of students and professors aimed at developing artistic methods and transferring expertise. Additionally, a workshop in the field of graphic design was also held.

The forum's activities include several events, including a field visit to the archaeological city of Sabratha to explore the artistic and architectural formations present there for potential use in developing styles inspired by the rich Libyan heritage. The events will also feature academic lectures followed by discussion sessions (seminars) and scientific dialogue forums, in addition to preparations for the final art exhibition of the forum, where the works of participating artists will be displayed.
