As part of its commitment to activating cooperation agreements signed with various local and international academic and research institutions, Sabratha University has officially commenced the implementation of its cooperation agreement with the University of Macerata in Italy.
A university delegation, consisting of the President of Sabratha University, Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Horishi, the Director of the University’s Information and Documentation Center and agreement coordinator, Mr. Wael Al-Dhawadi, and Mr. Mohamed Abu Ajila, faculty member at the Faculty of Tourism and Archaeology and Head of the Sabratha Antiquities Authority, visited Macerata University.
The visit included a joint academic meeting during which a comprehensive presentation about Sabratha University was delivered, along with an overview of the ancient city of Sabratha and its historical landmarks. These topics are central to the agreement, which focuses heavily on academic collaboration in the field of archaeology.
The delegation also visited an archaeological site, identified as a potential location for future excavations and joint research studies by students from both universities. Additional activities were carried out to strengthen the effective implementation of the agreement, with the aim of fully benefiting from its provisions in support of the educational process at Sabratha University.
This agreement aims to elevate Sabratha University's regional and international standing by opening new opportunities for students and researchers through joint academic programs, exchange visits, scientific conferences, workshops, seminars, and collaborative research projects.
