The Women’s Support and Empowerment Office at the University of Sabratha participated in a meeting organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research from October 17 to 19, hosted by Sirte University. This meeting aimed to discuss various topics related to the impacts of the floods and torrential rains that swept through the city of Derna. The attendees reviewed the solidarity efforts made by each office to support those affected by the hurricane. 
The participation of the Women’s Support and Empowerment Office at the University of Sabratha included a visual presentation of the assistance provided by the office along with a delegation from the university to the local community. The final day also featured a workshop titled "Crisis and Disaster Management," in which Ms. Ghalia Abdulrahman Al-Maree, the director of the University of Sabratha Office, participated with a research paper discussing the art of crisis management. She reviewed the experiences of several countries with expertise in this field, emphasizing the need for prior preparation and good training to minimize losses. 

In conclusion, attendees were honored for their roles and effective contributions to alleviating the suffering of the people in the city of Derna.
