The Geology Department at the Faculty of Science, Sabratha, conducted a scientific field visit and a geological field study in the Al-Rabta area, under the supervision of the department’s professors. This visit was part of the Geology course curriculum and aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, examine the gypsum rock outcrops, and collect samples for scientific study.

The visit also included detailed explanations of the different types of rocks, the sedimentary environments in which they were formed, and the key geological phenomena present in the mountainous area.
