On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Department of Ecology at the Faculty of Science, Sabratha, organized a series of scientific activities attended by representatives from public agencies, associations, and relevant institutions. The event also included the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, faculty members, staff, students, and a group of specialists and enthusiasts in the field of environment.
Following the opening ceremony, speeches emphasized the importance of environmental preservation and highlighted the dangers of pollution and its negative effects on individual health and the environment.

The event also included a presentation by the Badu Association for the protection of sea turtles and their habitats, and active participation from the Higher Institute of Science and Technology, Sabratha, with two environmental lectures and innovative models displayed at the environmental exhibition.
Ecology students contributed distinctively by presenting visual displays showcasing their environmental activities and illustrating the risks of environmental pollution and its harmful current and future effects.
The program concluded with the opening of an interactive environmental exhibition featuring models and educational panels on plastic pollution and sustainable solutions, alongside other displays commemorating the occasion.
