Based on the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the digital transformation in higher education institutions, members of the committee tasked with following up on the connectivity of the electronic network for central libraries in Libyan universities, assigned by the Director General of the Information and Documentation Center at the ministry, visited the central library of the College of Arts and Education in Sabratha on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. 
The visit included a meeting with the Dean of the College of Arts and Education, during which discussions were held concerning all aspects of the central library project in terms of capabilities, technical equipment, and available services. 
The committee's visit also included a meeting with the Head of the Information and Documentation Center at the university and the Director of the Publications and Publishing Department, during which the prepared programs and the technical and procedural steps that have been taken, as well as those still in progress, were discussed. Additionally, some difficulties and obstacles were addressed to overcome them and ensure the success of this project, which aims to establish central libraries in higher education institutions and connect them to the international information network.
