A consultative coordination meeting was held at the College of Public Health this Tuesday morning, September 19, 2023, which included the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Harishi, the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Fathi Sarb, and the Director of the Social Service Office, Dr.
Laila Baddeh, and the heads of scientific departments in the field of (social service and sociology) in the colleges of arts at the university, namely, Dr. Hoda Khair, Dr. Fathi Hafiza, Dr. Salah Al-Masalati, Mr. Ezzedine El-ZanatiThe meeting dealt with presenting and discussing a number of axes and points, the most important of which was discussing the changes that our country is experiencing at the present time, the effects of the hurricane crisis that struck a number of cities and regions in the eastern region, and discussing the contribution and existence of an effective professional work mechanism adopted by Sabratha University in addressing contemporary societal issues in light of The current situation that the cities of the eastern region are experiencing, especially the city of Derna, is the most affected in the social and psychological aspects
The attendees agreed to hold a workshop for specialists and those interested in community affairs, for the purpose of arriving at outcomes that contribute to providing the appropriate social services needed by those affected by the crisis they experienced, which left difficult psychological and social effects.
